D’après le livre de John McWilliams Breton fishermen in Cornwall ans Scilly : June 1908 brought another reminder of the dangers of working around the Seven Stones. The Douarnenez crabber St Louis S 480 struck the Seven Stones at 5 o’clock in the morning and quickly sank. Her four crew were swiftly rescued by another Breton fishing boat and landed at St Mary’s. They were taken home to Brest the same day in the lobster smack Reindeer which traded between Brest and the Sillies.

Juin 1908 apporte un autre rappel des dangers de travailler autour des Sept Pierres. Le crabier de Douarnenez St Louis DZ 480 a heurté les Sept Pierres à 5 heures du matin et a rapidement coulé. Ses quatre membres d'équipage ont été rapidement secourus par un autre bateau de pêche breton et ont atterri à St Mary's. Ils ont été ramenés à Brest le même jour dans le homardier Reindeer qui faisait la navette entre Brest et les Sillies. Naufragé en 1908, équipage sauvé
