Rixe dans le port de Newlyn en novembre 1996 :
Her father, retired publican Tony Edwards, 62, died in hospital four weeks after claiming he was attacked by the crew of a Breton trawler as he walked home from a pub in Newlyn in November, 1996.
Mr Edwards was admitted to hospital in Truro three days after the incident suffering from brain injuries.
At an inquest in May 1998, coroner Edward Carlyon recorded an open verdict, saying there was insufficient evidence for him to bring in a verdict of unlawful killing.
But he added: "I lack that burden of proof, but the presumption of manslaughter is too high for a verdict of accidental death."
At the time of the attack the trawler Martolod Breizh, from Douarnenez, Brittany, was the only French vessel tied up in the port.
